Education Syndicates

From research which took place with education service providers and the host sites, it would appear that there is a real demand for a new collaborative model for delivering education from external providers to schools. Many museums need to provide an education service but simply do not have either the resource or the funds to do this effectively and consistently. With tight budgets, many now have to increase their income at the same time.

Working in partnership with the host organisation, the education provider the National Centre for Citizenship and the Law (NCCL) will provide cost-effective education in partnership with other museums and organisations across the UK.

The host organisation will provide the premises and facilities and the NCCL has the capacity and ability to provide the facilitators and create learning programmes on their behalf. The NCCL team will manage the promotion, booking and delivery of the programmes with an aim to maximise access and increase income for both partners.

The vision for Education Syndicates is the NCCL creating a new shared framework for museum learning which can be replicated across the country with the purpose of raising educational attainment through access to heritage. If you are interested in adding your venue and joining the Education Syndicates please click here for more information.

At a time when museums must cut back on their learning provision, Education Syndicates provides the capacity for them to continue to reach children and young people.

This can take the form of advising groups or organisations on how best they can share resources to deliver a partnership model for learning or the NCCL managing the education service on behalf of the host organisation.

For all services the NCCL will create a model to best suit your needs and the revenue objectives you wish to achieve.
