  Booking your visit

How do I book a visit?

  1. Simply pick up to three activities out of those offered for your group's age level. Our primary, secondary, and further & higher education activity leaflets can be downloaded from the Plan section
  2. Select a number of preferred dates you would like to visit
  3. Book one of two ways:
  • Call Carly Bramwell, our Bookings Coordinator, on 0115 952 0555 (or leave a voicemail message out of hours)
  • Send an E-mail to our Bookings Coordinator stating your school name, address, telephone number, the size of your group, the activities you would like to do, and your preferred visit date. Please note that our actor-led Crime & Punishment tour only runs Wed - Sun.

* We will try our best to book your visit on your preferred date however, we cannot guarantee that it will be available. If your preferred date is not available we will contact you to find a date that works. Once a date has been set, we will do our best to send you a letter within three weeks clarifying your visit. Once you have received the letter, please read it carefully, make any amendments to the details page and return it to us to confirm your visit.

  Visit Practicalities

Teacher Pre-visits

It is recommended you visit the Galleries of Justice Museum before you visit with your group. We offer a free visit* for teachers, but this needs to be pre-booked with the NCCL team (*admits two adults or 1 adult & 1 child free).

Risk Assessments

Risk assessments have been put together for all activity areas at the museum. If you would like risk assessments sent to you, please contact us.

Getting Here & Coach Parking

The Galleries of Justice Museum is centrally located in Nottingham. To see where we are, click here. We do not have coach parking facilities at the museum. Your coach company will be able to drop off and pick up outside the museum, but will need to find somewhere to park during the day. The Broadmarsh Bus Station has a limited number of parking spaces available: 0115 915 3783.

Payment

You must either pay before the day of your visit or pay when you arrive. Payment can be made by cash, card, or cheque (payable to The Egalitarian Trust). We charge £50 for invoices raised after your visit. Please note a 10% deposit must be paid within five days of booking and you will then be invoiced for the final cost 15 days before your visit.

Lunch Rooms

We have a number of lunch rooms available for groups participating in two or more activities, these are available at designated times for £30 which will be added to your final invoice. Please request a lunch room when you book your visit. Please note you are responsible for your belongings on your visit. We can also provide lunch packs, the rates are negotiable depending on your group size, pre-ordering is essential.
