Campaign! Make an Impact

The NCCL and Galleries of Justice Museum have received funding to deliver the British Library’s exciting project “Campaign! Make and Impact”.
Campaign! Make an Impact is an innovative initiative that uses history to inspire young people into active citizenship. This is a national programme in partnership with the MLA Council, funded through the DCMS/DCSF Strategic Commissioning Programme.
NCCL are working with the Nottingham University Samworth Academy (NUSA) on a Campaign project. NCCL are exploring the objects and archive material within the Galleries of Justice Museum’s collection to create resources around the prison reform campaign. NUSA will be working with NCCL to create learning resources from the collection and their students will study the Campaign.
The young people are learning campaign techniques and then running their own campaigns about issues that affect them today.
