Help a Nottinghamshire Child

Launched in December 2006, Help a Nottinghamshire Child (HNC) is an annual campaign that aims to encourage businesses and individuals to sponsor and support Good Citizenship and Crime Prevention programmes for young people throughout Nottinghamshire.
We set up HNC to reduce the risk of young people getting involved in crime as victims or offenders, and we use the extensive facilities of the Galleries of Justice Museum to deliver our programme. By taking part in our activities, young people develop their knowledge of crime and the law. Their understanding of crime prevention is increased along with their confidence and ability to avoid becoming a victim or a perpetrator of crime.
Every year, partner schools are nominated to work with us on various Citizenship and Crime Reduction projects.
