Study Support

The Galleries of Justice Museum is one of the many Study Support locations within Nottingham city. As part of Nottingham City Council’s Extended Schools programme, we provide learning opportunities for all pupils beyond the hours of a normal school day.
Study Support at the Galleries of Justice Museum gives up to 25 nine to eleven year-olds the chance to explore the unique heritage site and collection of the Museum on a weekly basis for up to ten weeks. They explore the County Gaol and the HM Prison Service Collection and have the chance to handle objects from the Collection. In addition, they investigate protest and the rights of an individual.
Since Study Support started at the Galleries of Justice Museum in October 2006, we have delivered to nine Nottingham city primary schools and worked with around 200 children.
